Francesca is a comedian, writer and actress. You will no doubt have have seen Francesca on TV comedy shows ‘Mock the Week’ and ‘Russell Howard’s Good News’. She has toured internationally, including sell-out runs at the Edinburgh Festival, the Melbourne Comedy Festival and the Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal and has been listed in The Observer as one of the 50 funniest acts in British comedy.
After years of being defined by her cerebral palsy, Francesca had an epiphany. She decided to stop trying to fit in and just accept herself – ‘wobbliness’ and all.
Francesca has received a nomination for the UK’s Motivator of the Year award, alongside the likes of Matthew Pinsent, and Sir Bob Geldof and was an ambassador for the London 2012 Olympics.
Before becoming a stand-up, Francesca appeared in the BBC children’s drama serial Grange Hill for several years. She has also appeared as a guest on The Frank Skinner Show and in Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant’s comedy series Extras.
In 2014, her best-selling book ‘WHAT THE **** IS NORMAL?’ was published to great acclaim and was nominated for the Chortle Comedy ‘best Book’ award.
Speaking with heart and humour, Francesca will take us on a journey into facing our fears, embracing difference, positive thinking and defying expectations.
